In a deeply disturbing incident in Waterford, Ireland, a 6-year-old girl of Indian origin was brutally attacked by a group of boys aged 11 to 14. The child was punched, her hair pulled, and a bicycle wheel shoved into her private parts.
During the assault, the attackers reportedly shouted: “Go back to India.”
The child’s mother, a nurse who has lived in Ireland since 2016, shared with the media:
“I could not protect her. My daughter asked, ‘Why did they say I don’t belong here?’”
This horrifying act has sparked global outrage and is being investigated as a racially motivated hate crime.
The Indian Embassy in Dublin has issued a security advisory, urging Indian citizens to remain alert.
🔸 This is not an isolated case. Recent weeks have seen a rise in racist violence against Indians in Ireland — including attacks on professionals and students.
